Mike Moran drank himself out of a promising career and a good marriage back in the States, only to wash up in Pattaya — Thailand's most electric city, where the neon never sleeps and neither does he. He's built a life out of booze and cheap sexual encounters, and he's fine with that. Or he was.
When his best drinking buddy goes missing, Moran is forced to sober up just enough to look for him — tracing his last known steps through the city's glittering tourist strips and the dingy backstreets tourists never see. Hounded by his own demons at every turn, he wades through reckless expats, double-dealing bar girls, and the maddening, unhurried pace of Thai culture, all while the trail keeps going cold.
With the local authorities in no hurry to help and his options running out, Moran starts taking matters into his own hands.
